I have had the privilege of attending several presentations delivered by Lesley to staff at Calderdale Council on the driver CPC training. They have been informative, fun and well received by all attendees. Lesley is very clearly a specialist in her field and this comes across in her presentations. Students are able to ask almost au question of Lesley and due to her immense experience as both an operator and trainer she is able to draw upon that experience to answer sometimes the most diverse of questions. Highly personable yet professional in her approach, I would recommend her to others who wish to undertake training.

Lesley has been a great inspiration to me and I am sure many others. She shares her knowledge, passion and is very supportive to help others to be successful. I am quite alarmed by the feedback from last weeks CPC driver training! To discover that the feedback from our drivers was very positive could be excused, but for them to claim that they learnt things and enjoyed themselves was worrying. Clearly you have done a fine job in keeping a selection of our finest under control for 7 hours! It really is encouraging that we are already fielding questions about when the next sessions will be, and it is also very possible that we may ask you to undertake some driver training outside the scope of the CPC regime. If you need any references, any of our drivers will be delighted to oblige.

My head was banging when I got home on Saturday. I did learn some new things. Drivers seem to think it is wasting their time and they do not need to learn, but we all do and I did.

We have attended four Freight Train courses now, which have refreshed us and taught us a lot of things about road haulage in general. The way you put the training across is very good and makes the 7 hours go by in no time. It would be very hard to dispute the fact that drivers have come away without learning something.

I have to say Lesley and her team at Freight people have got the balance right, the session was engaging, factual and I think everyone would have taken something away with them, I certainly did.

Lesley has taken away the headache from our Company by coming in and assessing precisely our health and safety industry requirements. On her return visit a couple of weeks later she presented us with every risk assessment and safe working practise we could require – for any event a driver could come up against. This was followed up by training for our drivers on such subjects as safe loading and unloading, manual handling and other basic legislative requirements

Our HGV drivers found Freight Train’s Driver CPC courses informative, well delivered and trainers very knowledgeable. They actually enjoyed the benefit of this training and haven’t hesitated in wanting to keep up with this on a yearly basis.

Quite often some drivers show resistance to attending training but once they meet Lesley with her infectious training style and industry anecdotes they don’t seem to mind at all.
