ADR Training Course Information
‘Carrying goods by road or rail involves the risk of traffic accidents. If the goods are dangerous, there is also the risk of incidents, such as spillage, leading to hazards such as fire, explosion, chemical burn or environmental damage’
All drivers carrying dangerous goods within the scope of The Carriage of Dangerous Goods Regulations require a Vocational Training Certificate (VTC) issued by Scottish Qualifications Authority. The VTC is issued once a driver has satisfactorily completed an approved course
Initial courses may be taken upon obtaining a full UK driving licence. Refresher courses may be taken 12 months prior to the expiry of a current certificate but not within the last 6 weeks.
Freight Train courses benefit from a trainer with almost 40 years’ experience in the chemical industry and an over 98% pass rate. Courses ensure that drivers are not only fully qualified, but feel competent and fully risk aware – protecting themselves, the public and the company reputation
Freight-Train ADR courses are presented in collaboration with Freightsafe Dangerous Goods Training Limited (SQA Training Provider 1076). All courses are delivered in full compliance with the SQA Manual of Practice 2014 for ADR training providers.
