All drivers carrying dangerous goods within the scope of The Carriage of Dangerous Goods Regulations require a Vocational Training Certificate (VTC) issued by Scottish Qualifications Authority. The VTC is issued once a driver has satisfactorily completed an approved course

Courses include the mandatory Core Module, Package Module, Tanker Module and Dangerous Goods Classes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9.

Initial courses may be taken upon obtaining a full UK driving licence. Refresher courses may be taken 12 months prior to the expiry of a current certificate but not within the last 6 weeks.

Freight Train courses benefit from a trainer with almost 40 years’ experience in the chemical industry and an over 98% pass rate.  Courses ensure that drivers are not only fully qualified, but feel competent and fully risk aware – protecting themselves, the public and the company reputation

Freight-Train ADR courses are presented in collaboration with Freightsafe Dangerous Goods Training Limited (SQA Training Provider 1076). All courses are delivered in full compliance with the SQA Manual of Practice 2014 for ADR training providers.

Recommendation

I organised for myself and 8 of my employees to attend the ADR course with Lesley at Freight Train. Lesley and her team made the booking process straight forward and hassle free. The course was organised well, lead by an engaging tutor who delivered the material with enthusiasm and managed to keep all 9 men engaged! Would definitely use Freight Train again for any other courses.
