Earned Recognition

In January DVSA announced the list of operators who had successfully been accepted onto the Earned Recognition pilot scheme. Freight Train sister company Freightlink Europe was included on a list of only 29 prestigious companies included on the pilot

Acceptance onto the pilot is very much linked to an operator’s ability to evidence compliance with operators’ licence undertakings and industry safety standards. There is an initial audit and an ongoing commitment to provide DVSA with information to meet KPIs, which if not maintained will result in the standard being revoked. Operators who have achieved this standard have been given a blue OCR score.

Having worked with Freightlink Europe to achieve the standard, Freight Train is available to assist operators in putting procedures and documentation in place to meet requirements.

Freight Train believes that the industry should embrace this as the only official standard focusing on the requirements of the operator’s licence. This is an opportunity for transport operators and DVSA to work together and drive out the non-compliant and rogues in our industry, who only serve to reduce profit margins, make our roads unsafe and give our industry a bad name.
